Code of Practice: For the installation of mobile radio and related ancillary equipment in standard motor vehicles.

This code of practice document applies when installing all forms of mobile radio and telephony equipment, along with any ancillary or auxiliary products, in land based vehicles of various types.

The guidance within this document does not differentiate between the types of apparatus and end services provided, whether voice systems, data services or other applications, as each piece of equipment being fitted to a vehicle is to be treated as an entity requiring power, wiring, connectors, fixings and subsequent testing to prove the robustness and quality of the installation.
